『波上翔鶴図』
長寿を象徴する瑞鳥として尊ばれる鶴。
碧い海原を渡って飛来する鶴を描いております。波のうねりを金の線描きで表しました。
鶴の羽の白色は難しい色で注意深く重ねて塗りあげていきます。体と羽に使っている黒色も美しい光沢を出すのに苦労します。
 
“Cranes Flying Above The Waves” Pattern
The crane is considered an auspicious bird, symbol of longevity.
The design features cranes that migrate crossing a deep blue ocean. The swell of the waves is expressed through the golden lines. The white of the birds’ wings is an extremely difficult colour, achieved through multiple layers of coating applied with great caution. Another challenge is rendering the beautiful glossy finish for the black of the bodies and wings.
